Ram Shalaka Prashnavali
— the Manas answers
The Ram Shalaka Prashnavali is a traditional way of seeking guidance from the Ramcharitmanas. When you face a question or challenge in life and aren’t sure what lies ahead — and you hold faith in these verses — you can turn to the Prashnavali for direction. It offers a verse to reflect on, a light for your own judgment. It is guidance, not a promise — never a decree.
Close your eyes, remember Shri Ram, hold one question in your heart, and tap a square. Ask once, with faith.
The Shalaka answers in the Manas’s own voice — take it as guidance, not decree.

FAQs
What is Manas Deep?
A simple way to ask the Ramcharitmanas a question about your life and receive the verse that speaks to it, explained in plain English.
Where do the verses come from?
The 1,076 dohas and sorathas of the Ramcharitmanas, via the dharmicdata project (derived from the IIT Kanpur Ramcharitmanas Project); English reference from F. S. Growse’s 1877–83 translation.
Which verses does Manas Deep search?
All 10,370 of them: the 1,076 dohas and sorathas — self-contained wisdom couplets — the 9,173 individual chaupais, the single lines of the four-line narrative verses that carry the story forward, the 9 Sanskrit shlokas that open the kands, and the 111 chhands, the longer lyrical verses woven through the tale. Every answer card shows which kind it is.
Does my question leave my device?
The search itself, no. Asking runs entirely in your browser — nothing you type is sent anywhere while you search. The one exception is yours to choose: if you tap a thumb under an answer, that tap sends an anonymous record — your question, the verse it sat under, and your yes or no — to the feedback form, so we can see which verses are helping. No name, no account, nothing that identifies you. If you never tap a thumb, nothing is ever sent.
How are the explanations made?
AI-generated in simple modern English from the verse; the original Devanagari is always shown alongside.
Is this a religious authority?
No — Manas Deep is a companion for reflection, not a guru.
What is the Ram Shalaka Prashnavali?
The Ram Shalaka Prashnavali is a traditional way of seeking guidance from the Ramcharitmanas. When you face a question or challenge in life and aren’t sure what lies ahead — and you hold faith in these verses — you can turn to the Prashnavali for direction. It offers a verse to reflect on, a light for your own judgment. It is guidance, not a promise — never a decree. A traditional devotional oracle from the Manas tradition, the grid holds 225 letters drawn from nine chaupais of the Ramcharitmanas — close your eyes, remember Shri Ram, hold one question in your heart, and tap a square. The square leads you to the verse that answers. Like everything on this page, it is a companion for reflection, not fortune-telling: take it as guidance, not decree.
